For agencies, nonprofits, and front-line teams

Your people care for everyone else. Who cares for them?

Mindful Forgiveness training for teams who work with people in crisis. Live on Zoom, in your own staff meeting, or in person.

Front-line work piles up.

The client who yelled. The case that went wrong. The coworker nobody speaks to anymore. Staff take it home, replay it at night, and come back with less to give. Good people burn out and leave.

"I joined because I was looking for new and innovative tools to help our organization's Hawaiian youth break the cycle of poverty by addressing the root causes of their trauma. As a human services practitioner, it is easier to look for solutions for others while avoiding your own trauma. I found, however, how important it was to dedicate time sufficient to my personal healing, health, and well-being... I know this workshop will help our beneficiaries as much as it has personally helped me."
Kimo K. Carvalho, human services leader

Since 2019, JoYi has trained teams from Hawai'i public agencies and nonprofits, including courts, health, and human services staff.

What your team practices

  1. Tell the story of what hurt, and see it clearly.
  2. Name what it cost them.
  3. Work with anger without acting on it.

Quick answers

Is this counseling?

It is group skills training. It works alongside counseling and EAP services.

Do staff have to share private details?

Each person chooses what to share. Group agreements protect everyone, and the practice works without telling your whole story.

Can we use our own meeting platform?

Yes. Staff trainings run inside your own staff meeting on Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet, or in person.

Who is The Practice Center?

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by JoYi Rhyss, who trained with the Stanford Forgiveness Project and the late Dr. Jerry Jampolsky.

"I have literally spent hundreds of hours on Zoom calls and virtual meetings... none of it comes close to what these 12 hours with JoYi at the helm have provided: a 'safe container' for honest and deep exploration."Marc G.
